One question though. You state ” mkdir /etc/torrentwatch” and “Modify /etc/torrentwatch/torrentwatch.config” for “Torrentwatch-X Install” . Where is this file?

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.

Important! You need to add:

#!/bin/bash

to the very top line of the script for this to work. Otherwise it will just look like the script isn’t being run.

Hi,

Just wanted to say nice one for this guide! Some very useful info in their for setting up a home media/download server. Have you considered Usenet for automating movies/TV/music? Would probably take this to the next level.

Martin, I just updated the entire procedure to use apps which are a bit more maintained. You may want to check it out (sorry I didn’t have it posted prior to you going through the entire setup of your server man).

Thanks for this tutorial. Used it on Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS Server with iplist 0.28 and works great.
